Mario Bros Cupcakes for Thomas and Jeffrey birthday

Mario Cupcakes ini buat anaknya mbak Judy, Thomas and Jeffrey yang ulang tahun hari ini. Kuenya pake Cookies and cream chocolate cupcakes. Di tutup dengan ganache terus di dekor pake fondant.
Butuh waktu yang agak lama buat bikin Mario sama Luigi-nya tapi puji Tuhan semua selesai tepat waktu.

Red Velvet Cake/Cupcakes

Penasaran sekali sama yang namanya Red Velvet Cake ini. Dari hasil googling banyak sekali resep di sana.
Semua bahan yang ada di resep semua sama, hanya takaran yang sedikit berbeda.
Semua resep ada cake flour, buttermilk, vinegar, dark cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, butter, vanilla ekstrak dan gula.

Beberapa resep ada yang menggunakan red food colouring dan ada yang menyarankan memakai Beetroot juice.
Akhirnya aku coba 2 resep ini. Ini yang pake red food colouring.

Ini aku coba fotokan step by stepnya :

Mix butter and sugar until pale and fluffy

Adding eggs one by one, mix well and add flour and buttermilk alternately.

Add red food colouring yang sudah di campur dengan cocoa powder.

Pour the vinegar and baking soda, mix well...so red...

Put in cupcake case, fill 3/4 full.

Hasil kuenya moist banget, dan nggak terlalu manis. Enak....deh. Mungkin karena pakai buttermilk. Aku puas dengan hasil eksperiment kali ini.
Untuk icingnya pake cream cheese icing. Aku rasa kalau pake full resep agak kemanisan. Jadi lain kali aku kurangin icing sugarnya.

Bowling Theme Cupcakes

Stephanie order cupcakes lagi buat anaknya Max yang ulang tahun ke 7. Kali ini themanya Bowling. Karena mereka adakan partynya di Bowling Mentone. Jadi minta yang ada bola bowling dan pinnya. Cupcakes ini di susun di atas board, sebagai pengganti lantai bowlingnya.
